Maintenance & Diagnostic Analysis

A systematic way to narrow “what broke” without guessing.

Start with user-reproducible symptoms: no heat, intermittent noise, unusual odor, or sparking. Verify power supply, door closure, and interlock behavior before opening enclosures. For consumer-safe first checks, see Maintenance & Troubleshooting and Basic Troubleshooting Guide . For RF generation theory, see Magnetron Technology Deep Dive .

Diagnostic Tree (High Level)

  1. Confirm controls and settings (timer vs. cook).
  2. Inspect door, seals, and interior for damage.
  3. If sparking: remove metal; inspect waveguide cover.
  4. If no heat: suspect RF chain or control; professional service.
